Carol McKueCarol was born in Harwich Essex and still lives in the area today. Educated at the local high school she was persuaded to try oil paints by her art tutor, since when she has never looked back. Carol is best known for her colourful landscapes of the East Anglian countryside and coast line but also likes to paint other areas of the British Isles, particularly the West Country, the Welsh boarders & Scotland. She enjoys still life subjects especially floral compositions, and also paints in Acrylics and soft pastels. She believes in moving forward and is now experimenting with knife work and larger supports than previously used. She is mainly a self taught artist and likes to share her experiences with local art groups and informal workshops in her studio. Carol's work has been shown in six group exhibitions in East Anglian galleries including Ottewill gallery in Bury St Edmunds and Chambers gallery in Ipswich, where she is currently represented. She has also had 3 solo exhibitions locally and one in the North of England. Carol has contributed to "100 ways to paint Seascapes, Rivers & Lakes" a book published by the "International Artist", and has had pictures shown in "The Leisure Painter". ![]()
