David McCarthy is a professional pet and portrait artist, creating lifelike portraits using his own unique use of pastels and water colour. David specialises in highly detailed fine art portraits of dogs and pets and is a member of 'The Guild of Essex Craftsmen'.

David McCarthy is one of the UK’s most exciting artists of Fine Art, born in Billericay, Essex in 1963 his love of art started as a young boy.

His art work has previously been admired and recognised by the public and art industry after being exhibited in The National Portrait Gallery & The Beecroft Gallery in Southend, Essex, also highly regarded when featured in a newspaper article for his all round talent and painting technique, whether landscape, figurative or portraiture.
