James HorslerJames currently lives near “Constable Country” and since his school days has had many different jobs and only painting in his spare time, but then got involved in professional art as a CG artist working for Level 9 Computers and Edcom games. James became a freelance artist in 1990, working with traditional media and painting a wide range of subjects many of which have been to commission. James has now combined his love of traditional media with digital and 3D modeling. James's choice of medium is dictated by the subject and his currant mood and has tackled many subjects and he enjoys working to commission because such pieces often set personal challenges. Since 1998 James has been running art classes and now teaches privately at Watershed Studio, in St. Osyth. Recently has been working digitally, eg. photography, digital painting and 3D modeling and finds this adds a contrast to his traditional painting. James uses a Fuji Fine Pix 2800zoom and Corel Photopaint for his photographic work and Corel Painter for his digital painting and for his 3D work, Cinema 4D, with numerous plugins, Vue 5 and Z-Brush.
