How To Send Files

We recommend a number of different methods and services to send your images and files to us.

Large Files (Over 100mb)

For files over 100mb, we recommend either buring the files on to either a CD or DVD and posting them to;

Studio One Frames Ltd
The Old Church Hall
7 London Road
Little Clacton
Essex CO16 9RW

Please include details of your order on a covering letter with your disc.

You can also upload your files to wetransfer.com which accepts files of up to 2gb. Add your files, enter our email address (info@digitalprintdesign.co.uk) as the recipient, enter your own email address and then include a brief note of your order details. Please also send a second email to us with the full details of your order, this is what we need to know.

Please do not send us memory cards / sticks from digital cameras or USB drives.

Between 20mb & 100mb

You can use any of the methods above for these files as well, we also recommend yousendit.com for uploading files - this is free for files under 100mb and works in a very similar way to wetransfer.com.

You can also share a folder of files on your computer with us using Dropbox. Once registered and installed, a Dropbox folder will be created on your computer, inside that you should create a folder for us - give it a sensible name, ideally your own - then right click on the folder and select Share this folder... from the Dropbox options. Our Dropbox account is again our email address; info@digitalprintdesign.co.uk. We will then receive an email asking us to accept your share, once we do - your files will be synced with us. You can then reuse this folder for any future files you want to send us, they'll be automatically sent to us when ever you 'drop' a file into your folder.

User 20mb

Again, you can use any of the methods above or you can email files to us. Most email applications and services will allow you to attach files of up to 20mb. If you're sending more than one file (20mb in total) it is sometimes easier to split the attachments up over a few emails.

Compression (Zip Files)

To make your files smaller, you might want to try 'zipping' the file or files. This creates a smaller file by compressing the files - don't worry, it doesn't remove anything or reduce the quality of your images.

On a Mac, you can right click (or ctrl + click) on any file or folder of files and click Compress "File/folder Name", this will create a new file with the same name but with a .zip extension. On a PC, right click on a file and select Compressed (zipped) Folder from the Send To menu, again - this will create a new file with the same name but a .zip extention.
