Online Artist Communities
If you are worried about the high set up costs of having a website built for you, or you don't have the time or patience to create your own, but you still want to promote your artwork or photography on the Internet then joining an Online Community is a great start. Most are free and take very little time in getting setup.
Flickr
Flickr is one of the most popular websites on the Internet and is the biggest photo sharing site around, but it's not just for photographers. Digitise your watercolour or oil painting and upload them for other Flickr users to view. You can keep track of how many people are viewing your images, fellow Flickr users can comment on your work and add your work to their list of favourites. You can join groups and add your images to these groups - there's thousands of them on lots of different subjects, you can also make friends and keep tabs on users new images.
You only get out of Flickr what you put in, leave comments and helpful tips on other peoples work and other users will visit your own images and do the same.

EPhotozine
Ephotozine is for the serious photographer, where as Flickr can function for the casual photograher who adds anything and everything that they photograph - Ephotozine should be used exclusively for your best photo's. Fellow users will visit and view your images and add comments and critics, just like Flickr.
The site also features tutorials and reviews of the latest equipment.

The Saatchi Gallery
The Saatchi name is a popular one in the art world, so adding your name and art work to this massively popular website can't be a bad thing. Add your work along side a profile and let other users and visitors view your work.

We'll continue to add to this list as and when we find other suitable Artist Communities, if you know of one then please contact us and we can add it to the list.
Art Review
Art Review is a new social networking site - similar to Facebook and MySpace - that is currently in beta and is aimed towards artists. A social networking site allows you to create a page or space for you to display your work, you can then explore other people's pages, view their work and create links with them - hence the networking.
