How to send files using FTPYou should now have an email in your inbox with all the settings you will need for this part of the tutorial. If you check your mailbox your email will have already arrived there. If for some reason it hasn't, please contact us. Part 2CyberDuck FTP (Mac)
CyberDuck will then present you with a Finder style window that you can drag and drop files into. Double click on the folder called 'public_html', this is the folder that you will place your files. Now locate the file that you want to send to us in Finder, then simply Drag & Drop the file into CyberDuck. If you want to send us more than one file, just drag and drop multiple files into CyberDuck and they will be sent to us in one go. Your Internet connection speed will determine how long you file takes to upload, when your files begin to upload you will see a progress bar that shows the current status of your upload. Before you close CyberDuck, you must first disconnect from the server. To do this, click the disconnect button that is located on the top right corner of the application, it is shaped like an eject button. SmartFTP (Windows)
After you have connected, SmartFTP presents you with 2 windows, the first on the left-hand side of the screen the folder structure for our server and on the right-hand side is the list of files within the current folder that is selected. To upload your file(s), open a explorer window via My Computer or My Documents, browse to the location of your file(s) that you want to upload, then drag and drop them into the right hand-side window, this will begin the upload. In SmartFTP click disconnect from the file menu. After you have disconnected you can quit your relevant application in the normal fashion. When you have finished uploading your files, we would like to know what you have sent, so send us an email to info@digitalprintdesign.co.uk or fill in our contact us form here stating the name of your file and what you would like done with it.
